How to care for a document

The glowing block is your caret. Commands act where it stands, just as they do in Vim.

h j k l: Move left, down, up, and right.
w b e: Move by words: forward, backward, and to a word’s end.
dw: Delete from the caret through the next word.
yy p: Yank a line, then paste it below.
i Esc: Enter insert mode, type, then return to normal mode.
:w Enter: Write the repaired document.

This is an original clean-room learning game inspired by Vim itself and by the idea that tools become memorable through play.

Chapter complete

The document remembers you.

You crossed its words without a mouse, removed what harmed it, repeated what mattered, and placed kindness where there was an absence.

Editing is not only deletion. It is attention.
